Before I met Tal, I was truly stuck. It felt like I'd completely ground to a halt. I'd already gone through several teachers and I just couldn't find anyone who was the right fit or who could explain things to me in a way I understood. Tal came through a personal recommendation from two people I trust, and from the start, he just seemed different. We've now been working together for over a year.

Tal is not only a talented musician, but a patient, thoughtful and kind teacher, with a broad knowledge and a wisdom that he wears very lightly. He is also dedicated, not only to music, but to the art of teaching and building a good working relationship, with all the self-discipline that takes. He tunes in to you carefully and really takes care to check you're learning and following along, gladly recapping if you don't.

Organising lessons with him is always easy and straightforward, and he is completely punctual and reliable. I have a tendency to get a little frustrated, lost and defeated by setbacks, but Tal handles it well and takes it all in stride. He really challenges you to be a better student (and sometimes, person!)

Tal is also a really generous guy. The extra support and advice he's given me between lessons has really helped me to feel supported to keep going and explore new avenues. With Tal's help, I've made the most progress in music I have in any recent year I can think of. I have no hesitation in recommending him. I'm grateful to have met him!
