About Ruthie
"Supporting migrant families through language barriers motivates my daily work. Helping newcomers find their voice feels vital. My 9 years of teaching involve refining writing skills, idioms, expressions, business English, and reading comprehension.
I rely on my BA English from Melbourne Uni and my CELTA to guide students through accent softening, academic writing, everyday conversation, and professional email correspondence. It feels genuinely wonderful to see people settle into a new home with confidence. Seeing students gain 1 to 1.5 bands in IELTS over 8 weeks remains my highlight. Speaking and writing often show the most rapid growth during our time together."
