Hi! I’m Hanie, a native Malay speaker from Kuala Lumpur and a TEFL certified tutor. I help beginners and expats speak real, everyday Malay not just textbook phrases. My lessons are fun, friendly, and focused on real-life situations. My Approach to Teaching Malay – Fun, Practical & Purposeful Learning a new language doesn’t have to be boring — with me, you’ll laugh and learn at the same time. My classes are designed to feel more like a relaxed chat than a classroom lecture, but don’t worry — there’s always structure behind the fun How I teach: I focus on real-life conversations, practical vocabulary, and cultural context. Expect guided dialogues, repetition for memory, and personalized exercises based on your goals. I also love throwing in everyday slang and expressions that locals actually use — so you won’t sound like a textbook! Class Duration: Most of my sessions are 1 hour long — enough to cover new material, practice speaking, and still have a good laugh. I also offer shorter 30-min sessions for quick refreshers or casual learners. My Qualifications: I’m a native Malay speaker from Kuala Lumpur, TEFL-certified, and experienced in teaching beginners, expats, and foreign spouses. I understand how to break things down simply without making you feel like you’re back in school.
