About Hannah
I am a passionate violin tutor with 5 years of teaching and professional music experience, dedicated to helping students grow as confident, skilled, and expressive musicians. I teach violin to school and college students at all levels, from beginners discovering foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, exams, and performances.
One of the most meaningful milestones in my career has been guiding students from struggling with posture, technique, or stage confidence to performing with skill, emotion, and expression.
My teaching approach emphasises building strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering musical creativity, expression, and interpretation.
I integrate music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to help students gain a full understanding of music. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a supportive, patient, and inspiring environment. Teaching violin allows me to inspire students, nurture confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for music and learning.

I teach violin using a methodology focused on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to create lessons that nurture both technical skill and artistic expression. Each session is customised to the student’s goals, abilities, and learning style, ensuring a balance between structured practice and creative exploration.
Motivation drives every lesson. I guide students to set achievable goals, track their progress, and celebrate successes, building self-confidence, engagement, and dedication. Communication ensures a collaborative and interactive environment, allowing students to share challenges, ask questions, and explore creative ideas openly.
Creativity is central to my approach. Improvisation, interpretation, and composition exercises allow students to develop a personal artistic voice and emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises responsible practice, disciplined effort, and respect for learning, forming strong habits that encourage long-term growth and excellence.
In addition to violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, providing students with a complete and well-rounded musical education. My methodology ensures technical mastery, artistic development, and a lifelong passion for music.
