About Suhitha
Hello, I’m Suhitha. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, and a minor in Chemistry. Ever since I was little, I have highly valued education and the mentors who have guided me along the way. I hope to be the same resource to my students as my teachers were to me. I believe in creating a judgment-free environment where students can feel comfortable learning and growing.

I start by introducing the lesson in a simple and fun way and then outlining the objectives of the lesson. Then I will lead into the explicit material followed up by concrete examples to help the students immerse themselves in the material and recognize gaps in knowledge.
I have 8 years of experience in tutoring. I am comfortable teaching various elementary, middle, and high school math subjects such as order of operations, fractions, trigonometry, pre-algebra, algebra 1, and algebra 2. For these topics, I usually taught in small groups of 7-10 students but did schedule one-on-one sessions as needed. In undergrad, I was a teaching assistant for three years in general chemistry, organic chemistry, introductory biology, and introductory psychology. I would hold weekly office hours to tutor students on a one-on-one basis as they brought questions from the lecture or needed some extra practice. Before exams, the other teaching assistants and I would get together and create optional large group review sessions for students. We would have 40-60 students attend these sessions.
My goal is not just to improve academic performance but also to ensure students feel more confident in themselves and their knowledge so they can truly enjoy learning.
