About Aanya
Hi, I’m Aanya, an MSc Medical Genetics & Genomics graduate with a strong academic foundation in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology. I hold a BSc in Genetics, Biochemistry & Biotechnology and have completed advanced MSc in medical genetics and genomics from University of Glasgow. Alongside my academic training, I have hands-on experience with genetic data analysis, variant interpretation, and modern molecular techniques, which allows me to teach not just theory, but also how concepts are applied in real scientific and clinical contexts. I am passionate about helping students truly understand biology, rather than memorising content. Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with complex genetic concepts, or aiming to strengthen your foundation for university-level science, I tailor every lesson to your individual learning style and goals.

Each session typically includes: A brief recap of previous material Clear explanation of new concepts using diagrams and examples Active questioning to ensure understanding Exam-style practice or problem-solving where appropriate A short summary and guidance on independent revision Lessons are conducted online, using visual aids, shared screens, and digital notes to make learning engaging and effective. I ensure students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at a pace that suits them.
