About Turner
Having taught piano for 7 years, I focus on creating lessons that are engaging, practical, and student-centred. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music, giving me a strong foundation in theory and performance. I have experience teaching beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students preparing for exams and performances. My lessons are customised to each student’s needs, focusing on developing technical skills and musical expression. I use real-life examples and case studies to make rhythm, melody, and harmony relatable and easy to understand. Motivation is central, and I encourage students to set goals and celebrate achievements along the way. Problem-solving exercises are integrated to develop independent thinking and analytical skills. I emphasise integrity, creating a safe, honest, and supportive environment for learning. I am flexible, adapting lessons to the student’s pace, skill level, and personal objectives. Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition. I prepare students for exams, recitals, and competitions while fostering creativity and confidence. Lessons are offered online or in-person for all ages. I focus on building technical skill, artistic expression, and lifelong appreciation for music. Each lesson is motivating, enjoyable, and productive. My ultimate goal is to help students play confidently and develop a lasting passion for music.

Lessons include problem-solving exercises that encourage independent thinking and help students tackle challenges confidently. Integrity guides all my teaching, creating a patient, honest, and supportive environment where students can take risks and grow. I am highly flexible, adjusting lessons to fit the student’s pace, style, and interests. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and composition. Lessons can be conducted online or in-person and are suitable for learners of all ages. My goal is to help students play confidently, develop their own musical voice, and enjoy a lifelong love of music.
