I love History and have traveled extensively in Europe (lived in both Germany and England) and North Africa/Middle East. Having taught since 1990 as a Classroom Teacher, Tutor, Substitute ....... Zooming this past school year one gets to know and understand diversity. Originally from Florida so, I know most of the U.S. and some of the Caribbean Islands.

I think it is most important that students learn to explore the world through literature, film, and projects. Zooming allows the interaction and dialog that is quite essential when exploring the past. History repeats itself. The seven concepts of History are "Perspectives • continuity and change • cause and effect • evidence • empathy • significance • contest-ability. The concept of perspectives is an important part of historical inquiry." History gives you the knowledge of past events and gives a better understanding of what is happening now.
