About Zonya
A highly motivated, determined and compassionate student with a strong academic foundation and a growing passion for psychology, mental health and clinical practice. I am fluent in both Afrikaans and English, receiving an 88% aggregate for my Matric (IEB) results: 96% Afrikaans FAL, 93% Mathematical Literacy, 91% Drama, 88% LO, 87% Geography, 79% English Home Language and 79% Life Sciences. In University I majored in Psychology and Theatre Studies. I am a Professional dancer and Cheerleading coach, working with primary to tertiary level athletes, giving me experience with a variety of ages.

I took (IEB) English Home Language, Afrikaans FAL, Maths Literacy, Life Sciences, Drama and Geography at school. I majored in Psychology and Theatre Studies at Stellenbosch University. My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and adaptive where lessons are tailored to the individual needs, abilities and goals. I aim to create a safe and supportive learning environment, where patience and empathy is key. I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans, allowing me to support students who may learn better in either language or who require bilingual explanations to fully grasp complex concepts.
