About Mira
I’m passionate about what I love, and this includes the subjects I teach. I am always happy to watch someone light up as I’ve taught them something new, or as they finally learned how to do something they’ve been working on. I believe quality education should be accessible to everyone, and I aim to uphold this as much as possible. Through my experience (and some of my knowledge in psychology) I believe that I am capable of helping you reach heights you never thought possible. But, really, I’m good at helping people learn the way they learn best. You, as the student, are the priority.

I always start with the question of “what do you already know?” and then build on that. In the first lesson, I will adjust to your learning speed and help you find the best way for you to learn. Especially for subjects like math and chemistry, I recognize that it often takes engaging repetition and examples for a student to grasp the concept. In a typical lesson, we start with a quick 5-minute review of the previous lesson, then we will focus on 1-3 topics, and finish up with a comprehensive recap of what you learned. I have found that this method successfully helps to retain the information rather than only learning it in the moment.
I teach entry level-high school/honors: geometry, algebra 1, algebra 2, and chemistry.
