About Kailyn
Things about me that I would like other people to know is:
-My favorite things are tiger lilies, chicken Alfredo, bloom energy drinks, animals.
-Things I like to do in my free time are spend time with friends and family, read, shop, and go to church with my friends.
The classes I'm currently taking at Sherman High School are honors, AP, and dual credit classes, and in the evenings once I get home I'm doing college courses through WVSU to work on my teaching degree. Next year I'll be taking the teaching program at Boone Career and Technical Center and starting student teaching.

The main Lesson: “Math Is Everywhere”
Subjects: Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Basic Science
Grades: 6–9
Time: Flexible — approximately 1–3+ hours, depending on discussion and student needs
Core goal: Students develop understanding by explaining, questioning, modeling, testing, and connecting ideas, rather than memorizing procedures.
By the end students should be able to:
-Explain their mathematical reasoning in their words
-Use equations or diagrams
-Explain why their answer makes sense instead of just having the right answers.
-Make a prediction, test it, and revise their thinking when evidence disagrees.
-Connect something they learned in one subject to another. Ex: Algebra to Geometry.
Lesson Hook: "Can you prove it?"
It starts with a simple question:
"if I give you an answer, how can you convince me that it is correct?
I won't immediately teach a procedure. I let students offer ideas to me that will help him.
My lesson structure is
