I’m a Music Technology student at Long Island University’s Roc Nation School of Music, and I tutor basic music theory for beginners. If you’re new to music or feel lost in class, I’ll help you build a solid foundation without making it confusing or overwhelming.
In lessons, we cover essentials like:
• Note names and finding notes on the staff (treble and bass clef)
• Rhythm and note values (whole, half, quarter, eighth notes, rests, etc.)
• Time signatures and counting (including clapping/counting exercises)
• Intervals (how to identify and build them)
• Basic chords (major/minor triads) and simple chord progressions
• Key signatures and basic scales
