About Marie
Hello, I’m Marie, I graduated from a bac S option SVT with honors and I’m currently in the first year of preparatory class for the major business schools at Lycée Michelet in Vanves. In preparation, what surprised me the most was the efficiency, that is to say the speed and the quality: this does not only involve hard work and lots of coffee. Sometimes all it takes is simple methods, habits to take, in language for example, or just small tips to remember. It is these simple little things that I want to share because I myself would have liked to know them when I was in high school.

I am not a teacher but as a student I know what works and what does not work in terms of learning. Two watchwords: emotion and method. You have to arouse curiosity to retain, provoke a reaction, a desire to understand: a lively course, shock images, something that not only stimulates short-term memory that must constantly be brought to order but which directly affects emotional memory. As for the method, it's rather simple: from a purely pragmatic point of view, the bac exams are form tests. If you do your three main parts well, three sub-parts and you do not forget the line breaks or the paragraphs you will have the average almost everywhere in writing. I extrapolate of course, but the idea is there. Learning to organize your ideas, even if it means simplifying them, is really the key, the objective is to make you understand. It also works the same way for learning a language, go point by point even if it comes back to basics (for example knowing the existence of the subjunctive in Spanish can be more useful than you think) to know how to handle it other than "feeling".
