About Raymond
I am a registered Pharmacist from Malaysia. I am a Straits-born Chinese, which means that my family converses in three different languages most of the time (Malay, English, and Mandarin Chinese). Raised in a trilingual family, Malay has been one of my favorite languages to converse in because it imparts a certain tone of friendliness and respect.
I have been teaching this beautiful language to others (even when I was still residing back in Malaysia a few years ago). I have great passion in teaching and guiding others; this means that you will not only learn the language, I WILL MAKE YOU LOVE IT! (spoiler alert)

Bahasa Malaysia is a distinguished and classy language. The language is infused with finesse and subtlety, making it one of the more beautiful languages in the world. My mother was a Malay teacher when she was still working many years ago, hence she has imparted a lot of her teaching wisdom to me over the years.
I have a few tutoring styles up my sleeves - depending on your needs. If it's basic conversational Malay, I believe in teaching it to you in conversations. If it's intermediate or written Malay, I will be working with you through some materials used in Malaysian schools as part of their curriculum.
The ideal length of a lesson would be 1 - 2 hours, depending on your goals and level of proficiency. If you are completely new to Malay, and only seek to learn basic conversational Malay; I would recommend a minimum of 2 hours.
The lesson is open to people of all ages. I am happy to teach this beautiful language to children, all the way to adults.
