About Mars Joseph

Hi, I’m Mars! I studied English education at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and I’m TESOL certified. My teaching career started in a Grade 4 English classroom, then moved online, where I spent over six years with RareJob Philippines, tutoring English and leading a team that delivered thousands of lessons.

These days I work as a learning experience designer, building courses and training programs for teams and organizations. That work taught me how people actually learn, and I bring it back to tutoring because I love the moment a student realizes they can do something they thought they couldn’t.

I’m based in Quezon City, and I work with high school students who want to get more out of reading and writing.

Every student is the hero of their own story, and I’m the guide who walks beside them. Our sessions start with a mystery, a game, or a story, so you want the answer before you know why it matters. When you get stuck, I won’t hand you the answer. I’ll ask the questions that move you one step closer, and sometimes I’ll play the villain and challenge your ideas so you learn to defend them.

I teach with a whole toolbox: drawing, role-play, discussion, writing, and digital tools including AI. Each one lets a different strength shine, and it shows you there’s never just one way to solve a problem. Every lesson is built around clear objectives, so you’ll know exactly when you’ve mastered it.
