About LaKeisha
I am currently an undergrad student at the University of Washington Tacoma campus. My major is Computer Science & Systems, and I have yet to choose between a Math or Spanish minor. My passions lie within the technology industry, my current foci ranging from software development to video game design. My vocation will be providing for my community through my career. I have experience as a volunteer TA for an after-school youth coding program, and I started private tutoring in November 2018. As an eldest sibling, I am also used to working with and around children.
My strengths are the subjects math, Spanish, and language arts. As someone who had to work very hard to excel from grade school to college, I strive to pass down useful skills and tools to the people I teach. I want to help those I teach to continuously cultivate a passion for learning, as well as become more confident as students. In my free time I enjoy writing poetry, reading, and baking.

My teaching methodology depends on the individual student's needs and learning style. I usually offer methods of info retention that have proven successful (such as supplementing homework practice with additional practice that covers tricky versions of whatever subject is being gone over), outlining notes, dissecting assignments/textbook readings along with the student, creating visual aids, and anything else the student needs to best absorb the information.
