I have taught 3rd-5th grades for 13 years. I enjoy working with students who want to learn. It makes me happy to see them smile when they finally understand a difficult task. I take the time to understand what each of my student likes and needs in order to be a successful learner.

I take the time to get to know my students. I think it's important to build great relationships first. I like to begin each lesson with sharing good stuff before we start the lesson. Then we have a mini lesson. Next, we practice together. Finally, I let my student practice on their own, but I am there with them encouraging them and answering questions as needed. I like to take my students' interests and incorporate them into our learning. It keeps them engaged and want to participate in the lesson. My lessons are for students in grades 3-5.
