About Aidan
I am currently a Clinical Research Fellow in the Nguyen Eye Lab at Stanford Medicine where I am researching the modification of Indocyanine Green for cataract surgery with Dr. Jia-Horung Hung. In addition, in Stanford's Roberts Vision Development & Oculomotor Lab, I am using fractals to research the neural mechanisms behind human perception. I am also one of the founders of an organization called Penn Students for Students, which provides mentorship and tutoring to children within the Pennsylvania justice system. As Tutoring and Program Director, I developed and taught a lesson plan based on psychological principles and the development of life skills such as financial literacy. While serving as a board member in the organization, I personally taught more than 75 students, in group and individual settings, over the course of 3 years. I also tutored over 20 students in both math and English at the Redwood City library for 2 years while in middle and high school. During my own academic career, I received the highest academic honor at Penn, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Throughout my time there, I excelled in numerous courses across disciplines including calculus, statistics, English, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, biology, and psychology. I also earned perfect scores on my AP Calculus AB exam, AP US History exam, AP Psychology exam, and Math Level 2 SAT subject test, as well as a 35 superscore on my ACT. Overall, I have substantial experience tutoring, performing at a high level at an Ivy League University, and earning maximum scores on standardized tests. In addition to that, I love making a positive impact on others through education, and building meaningful connections with those I work with.
