About Nina
Hi! I'm currently a medical student studying at the University of Nottingham, with over 5 years of tutoring experience and more than 700 hours of teaching, I’ve had the privilege of helping students aged 10 to 30+ reach their academic goals. I specialise in breaking down the latest exam styles and sharing proven strategies to help you secure top marks.
Whether you’re looking for ongoing support or just a one-off session to fine-tune your skills, my lessons are flexible, engaging, and tailored to suit your needs.
I specialise in Medicine Preparation, including UCAT, MMI interviews, and panel interviews, as well as Maths, Chemistry, and Biology across A-level, GCSE, KS4, and KS3 (AQA, OCR, and EDEXCEL exam boards). Additionally, I provide support with personal statements for medicine and dentistry applications, as well as guidance on extended project qualifications (EPQs). My goal is to help students build confidence, master challenging content, and achieve their full potential.
As an experienced tutor with a proven track record in medical school interview preparation, I bring a wealth of practical insights to each session. I’ve actively participated in numerous mock interview days, working closely with applicants to refine their responses, strengthen their interview presence, and adapt to a variety of interview formats, including MMIs and traditional panels. My hands-on experience has allowed me to observe firsthand what top medical schools look for in candidates.
By drawing on my background with mock interview events, I create a realistic, high-pressure environment in our practice sessions, helping students build confidence and improve their performance under authentic conditions. This experience, combined with my personalised approach, ensures that students feel fully prepared, with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in their medical school interviews.

During my tutoring experience I have been able to refine my methods in order to be specific to the individual being taught. My teaching method consists of understanding the basics and building on top of pre-existing knowledge. Almost like a pyramid, ensuring the foundations are embedded well before new information otherwise gaps resulting in a lack of knowledge. I have the ability to build that student-teacher relationship and tackle any barriers I may come across. The enthusiasm and motivation will be transcribed to my students, as will my excellent teaching methods will aim to produce the best outcome.
During the introduction, I meet the student and their guardian so that we can get to know each other. I learn about their needs and aims, and we start planning the lessons.
The plan typically consists of weekly or fortnightly lessons depending on the content the student needs to cover; some students need to focus only on specific topics, while others need support throughout the year.
