About Dena
I'm a special education teacher with more than 14 years of experience. I'm also the mom of children with neuro-divergence: autism, ADHD, and mental illness. So I know the challenges facing families in the school setting. I've tutored students before, and I've watched them thrive and get excited with their growth.

My interactive lessons are designed for elementary or middle school students who are 2 or more grade levels behind in reading or math. I aim to integrate old-school and new-school with a blend of technology, hands-on manipulatives, and research-based learning methods. I also try to build relationships with students so they want to learn, and they're as interested in their growth as we are.
