About Caryl
I’m a licensed professional teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and several years of teaching experience. I have been teaching Filipino/Tagalog since 2017 and have also taught foreign learners online.
I believe that a good tutor should be patient, prepared, and able to adjust lessons to each student’s needs. I create structured but relaxed lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and practicing their speaking skills.
Whether you’re learning Tagalog for travel, work, relationships, family, or simply to connect with Filipino culture, I will make sure our lessons are practical, engaging, and suited to your goals. My goal is not only to teach you Tagalog, but to help you feel confident using it in real-life situations.

Hi! I’m Aina, a licensed Filipino teacher from the Philippines
I’ve been teaching Filipino/Tagalog since 2017, and I love helping students discover that learning Tagalog can be easy, useful, and fun!
In my lessons, we won’t just memorize grammar rules. We’ll practice real-life conversations, useful Filipino expressions, pronunciation, and everyday vocabulary—the kind of Tagalog you can actually use when talking to Filipinos.
Whether you want to learn Tagalog for travel, work, your Filipino partner or friends, or simply because you love the Philippines, I’m here to help!
And don’t worry if you’re a complete beginner. We can start with simple phrases like “Kumusta?”, “Salamat!”, and “Ang sarap!”
