About Ana Carolina

I am a Spanish tutor with experience in giving classes to adults with beginner and intermediate levels (I also have experience giving Brazilian Portuguese classes). I am fluent in Portuguese and in English, which makes it much easier to communicate with students and facilitates the learning process.

About the lesson

As a person that has learned 2 languages myself, I understand the struggles students have when learning a new language. My teaching methodology is dynamic, based on combining grammar, oral expression, and vocabulary. The student is the center of learning process and the tools we use in class (grammar, vocabulary...) are means to achieve a goal, not the goal itself. Moreover, I like my students to deal with error as something they can learn from.
I adapt my classes to each student's background, it is, level, goals and personal preferences, as a means to keep them motivated and interested in the class.

If you are looking for a Portuguese teacher who can empathize with the struggles of a foreign language learner, Ana Carolina is the right one! She has learned to speak English and Spanish fantastically well and knows what if feels like to be a beginner and the steps to become a fluent speaker. Also she has a great sense of humor and loves bossa nova (if you like music, that's a plus!).
