About Pablo

I’m Pablo, French and Spanish, and I grew up in Toledo, where I lived for nine years. Spanish is a language I grew up with, at school, with friends and in everyday life, and I also hold a certified C2 level, the highest on the European scale. Having grown up between two languages, I know from experience what it takes to feel truly at home in one.
Literature is one of my great passions, especially García Márquez and Pérez-Reverte. García Márquez opened the door to Latin America for me, with his way of blending the everyday and the extraordinary. Pérez-Reverte showed me how history and adventure can make Spanish feel vivid and alive. I’m also a big fan of Spanish shows, which are a wonderful way to hear the language as it is really spoken, with its accents, humour and expressions. I bring all of this into my lessons, because a good book or a great series is often what makes a language click.
I study at Sciences Po, with a minor in Latin America, alongside a law degree at the Sorbonne, and I’m currently on exchange at the University of Edinburgh. I’ve also interned at the French Embassy in Panama, where I worked in Spanish every day.
For the past year, I’ve coached secondary school students preparing for demanding entrance exams. That experience taught me that every student gets stuck in a different place: for some it’s method, for others confidence or regularity. What I enjoy most is understanding where each student stands, then helping them move forward at their own pace and gain confidence, one lesson at a time.

I believe a language is learnt above all by talking and reading, so that is what my lessons are built on.

How a lesson works

Each session starts with conversation: about your week, the news, a film, whatever interests you. Then we work on a text chosen for your level, such as a news article, a short story or an extract from a novel, from Spain or Latin America. We read it together, discuss it, and use it to pick up new vocabulary and expressions.
Grammar comes in when it is useful, explained simply and practised right away, never as a list of rules to memorise.

For every level and goal

Beginners: solid foundations, so you can speak from the very first lessons.
Secondary school students: comprehension, writing and oral practice for the GCSE, A-level or Bac.

Adults: speaking confidence for a trip, a stay abroad or a professional project.

Exam prep: DELE certifications and oral tests, with mock exams and targeted feedback.

My approach
In our first session, I take the time to understand your goals and where you get stuck, then we build a plan together and adjust it as you progress. You will speak a lot, make mistakes freely, and gradually gain fluency and confidence.
