About Letizia

A levels, IGCSE, University exams preparation experience. Spanish language teaching experience as a FL in Spain. Master's degree in Languages & foreign literature Master's degree ELE, in teaching Spanish as a foreign Language (Madrid University). Teaching experience in Spain, Italy & UK in the last 10 years.

About the lesson

My methodology includes: full immersion and communicative approach. Full immersion: refers to using only the language being taught, with no translations into the common language i.e. English. This encourages communication using the language the student is learning, to really live the language and create an environment where the student feels comfortable speaking and listening in the foreign language, and most importantly feel comfortable making mistakes and thereby improving. The communicative approach focuses on the student doing the work rather than the teacher. This means that the student should be doing a lot more talking than the teacher and the student is given an opportunity to discover the meaning and use of language through tasks and activities, rather than explanations from the teacher. This is achieved through lots of pair-work (between students or teacher & student) activities which allow the student to have maximum input.

I have been having 1-on-1 italian lessons with Letizia for more than 1.5yrs and my learning experience with her was great and I have made significant progress in Italian since I started. Her teaching methods are very diverse and she always wants to make our lessons not only useful but also interesting. She always explains all concepts in a very clear way that is easy to understand. I would strongly recommend her as an Italian tutor for others.
