About Ira
I am a soon-to-be A-level student with a strong interest in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Economics. I have recently finished my GCSEs, so I understand the current GCSE course, exam pressure and the revision methods that actually help students improve.
I am passionate about these subjects and enjoy explaining difficult ideas in a clear, simple way. I want to tutor because I know how useful it can be to have someone who explains topics patiently, goes through exam questions properly and helps build confidence step by step.
I will be studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics at A-level, and I am especially interested in helping GCSE and younger secondary school students strengthen their understanding, improve their exam technique and stay consistent with revision.

My lessons focus on building strong understanding first, then improving exam technique. I explain each topic clearly and break difficult ideas into simpler steps before moving on to practice questions. After lessons, I encourage students to make and complete flashcards, as active recall is one of the best ways to remember key facts, methods and equations.
I also teach students how to approach different types of exam questions, including how to structure answers, use mark schemes and avoid common mistakes. To make sure students stay on track, I use short weekly tests to check their progress. I go through these tests with them step by step so I can understand their thought process and correct any misunderstandings.
A typical lesson would be between 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on what the student prefers and what they need help with. I would usually offer lessons thrice per week to help students stay consistent and make steady progress.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students who want support in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Further Maths, as well as younger secondary school students who want to build confidence before GCSEs.
