About Eve
My name is Eve, I am 19 and currently studying a combined BA in Sociology and Philosophy & Ethics. During my secondary school years, I really struggled to keep up with my peers in certain aspects, which lead me to become very frustrated with education. Until my first year in A-levels, I had changed forms and my form tutor actually listened to what I was struggling with, and with her support, I finally managed to get a diagnosis for my ADHD. It is mainly because of her that I want to pursue teaching, as she helped me enjoy learning again and I want to be able to do that for others.

Depending on the content covered in the session; if it is curriculum content, we will cover revision techniques and go over topics you do not quite understand or need to revisit. If we focus on essay skills then the session will revolve around developing those skills using past papers for question analysis and response planning. I have three A-levels in essay writing subjects, including Sociology, which I am studying at an Undergraduate level along with Philosophy and Ethics. I intend to pursue teaching as a career not only because it comes naturally to me, but also because I genuinely enjoy it, so the session will not only benefit the tutee but myself also. These sessions will mainly benefit those studying A-level Sociology and History. Preferably with Sociology using exam-board AQA and History using Pearson, mainly because I am most familiar with this content. The areas on these I am best at are the families and households, education and beliefs papers, for Sociology. I believe I will work well with students who, like myself, have ADHD, during my A-levels I found (through trial and error) some effective revision and study techniques that are likely to benefit other neurodivergent students. For this and other reasons, sessions are to be an hour or an hour and a half, unless we decide differently prior. The hour will be more effectively spent if you let me know what you would like to cover, this gives me time to prepare the session content specific to your needs.
