About Aneesa
I am completing a PhD in Sociology at The University of Oxford, having previously attained a BSc. in Politics and IR and an MSc. in Policy Analytics from The University of Exeter. I am a trained quantitative researcher with well-rounded knowledge of politics, international relations, and sociology. For the last three years, I have been an undergraduate tutor at Oxford, teaching a variety of social science courses within the disciplines of politics and sociology. I have provided postgraduate application support to my students, resulting in successful admissions to first-choice programmes. As a tutor, I am friendly, empathetic, and approachable. I enjoy helping students in their journey and achieving their academic goals. I appreciate nuanced discussions and thought-provoking questions.

I have been tutoring undergraduate students at Oxford for three years. My approach to teaching involves: 1. Curating teaching materials around students' interests and needs. 2. Providing discussion-based 1-1 tutorials, which foster dialogue and understanding. (typically 1-hour long lessons) 3. Providing notes for each lesson to help revisions 4.
