I am a social sciences student of the open university currently studying a masters in forensic psychology. I have previously private tutored face to face in sociology, psychology and English. I am aiming towards a career in teaching.

I have found that when a student relates to a subject they can be more passionate and therefore learn the subject quickly and efficiently so trying to find points in a subject where the student can relate or emphasise can be beneficial. The use of audiovisual material can be beneficial for some but others prefer other methods. I would like to firstly discuss with my student what methods they prefer and then I can adjust my lessons accordingly.
