About Millen
Hey! My name's Millen. I go by they/them pronouns and am a B Social Science student at the University of Newcastle.
I'm autistic. So, what I lack in social skills, I make up for with a high capacity for learning. I hope to leverage my learnt knowledge and passion for neurodiversity studies in a career in clinical and experimental psychology, specialising in autism.
It's important to acknowledge that I identify as queer and have my fair share of experienced mental illness. My experiences with marginalisation and disadvantage have taught me the importance of mental health in the learning process and empathy, patience, and acceptance in teaching. I welcome people from all walks of life, especially neurodiverse and/or disabled folks, to seek help from me where I can provide it.
Feel free to book a free 30-minute session, and I'd be happy to introduce myself and answer any of your enquiries!

I have a penchant for helping people prepare and write killer written assignments, such as essays, reports, literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, and presentations, no matter the subject.
A great written assignment involves understanding what I like to call the "three S's": syntax, semantics, and sentiment. In other words, it must:
– Have good sentence/paragraph structure and sound grammar
– Display knowledge and understanding of a certain topic and be logically coherent
– Be written using appropriate diction or tone
I aim to provide personalised support to help you produce written assignments that display keen adherence to all of these factors.
My main goal is to nurture my students' self-efficacy and help them develop long-lasting skills that they can utilise outside of our sessions independently.
– 30 to 90 minute sessions
