About Elise
As a violin tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Orchestral Studies, I bring leadership and creativity to every lesson. Serving as a Violin Section Leader shaped my disciplined approach. Strong basics matter.
Technology enhances our progress. Slow-down apps refine technique, while DAWs and MIDI tools help us analyze sound in detail. Video feedback supports clear improvement.
Students who record original songs or covers benefit from careful listening and track analysis. We focus on tone clarity and rhythmic precision. Recording builds professionalism.
Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk are central to my teaching passion. Improvisation becomes accessible through custom backing tracks and structured exercises. Confidence grows steadily.

My teaching method connects violin playing with clear music theory at every step. Students learn not just finger placement, but harmonic purpose. Knowledge empowers performance.
We study keys and scale systems while applying them directly to shifting and intonation practice. Intervals are measured and understood. Patterns feel logical.
Chord theory is explored through fingerboard mapping, broken chords, and harmonic analysis of exam pieces. Students begin to anticipate musical movement. Confidence grows.
