About Clara
With 8 years of teaching experience, I have witnessed firsthand how personalized instruction can transform a student's musical journey. I approach each lesson by first understanding the student's musical tastes, goals, and learning style, which allows me to tailor material and pace appropriately. Foundational skills like finger strength, chord accuracy, timing, and ear training are prioritized to ensure a healthy and efficient technique. Theory is introduced in context, helping students make sense of the music they love. One rewarding experience was mentoring a student who developed from a beginner into a confident performer and songwriter. I encourage improvisation and creative exploration as vital parts of musicianship. I also integrate technology such as practice apps, metronomes, and backing tracks to make learning engaging and effective. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on building both skill and confidence. Whether your goal is casual playing, performance, or composition, I aim to support you every step of the way on your musical path.

Guitar is more than a skill—it’s a way to connect with yourself, with others, and with the wider world of music. I teach Guitar in a way that’s personal, flexible, and grounded in real experience. We focus on music that feels meaningful to you, whether that’s your favorite band, a style you want to explore, or a goal like performing live or writing your own songs.
From that starting point, we build technique, musical knowledge, and creative confidence. I care deeply about motivation. I want you to leave each lesson feeling excited to play more, not overwhelmed or discouraged. That’s why I design lessons that keep you moving forward in ways you can feel and hear. You’ll be encouraged every step of the way, and your progress will always be clear. If something doesn’t click right away, that’s completely normal—we work through it together using strategies that help you understand the deeper mechanics behind it. I believe the best musicians aren’t the ones who never struggle, but the ones who learn how to troubleshoot, adapt, and keep going. I give honest, thoughtful feedback that’s designed to help you grow—not just as a player, but as a musician.
I also prioritize flexibility. Every student learns differently, and I adjust my approach based on what resonates with you. Whether you're drawn to theory, feel, patterns, improvisation, or a little of everything, we build a path that fits your brain and your goals. I also teach skills that go beyond just playing: how to improvise with intention, how to listen critically, how to build stage presence, or how to write your own music. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining years of experience, I’m here to make your journey through music engaging, empowering, and fully your own.
