About Yasmin
I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater Voice. My passion lies in helping performers of all kinds discover the full strength and clarity of their voice. I specialize in working with actors, dancers, and public speakers who want to enhance projection, presence, and expressive power. My lessons focus on the essentials of vocal clarity, starting with articulation and diction. I guide students through breath dynamics, showing how to use air with precision and control for both speech and song. Confidence drills are built into each session, designed to help performers feel grounded, expressive, and secure on stage. Storytelling is at the center of my approach. I encourage learners to connect words and phrases to emotion, creating performances that are engaging and authentic. Whether the goal is a moving soliloquy, a heartfelt ballad, or a powerful spoken word piece, I shape exercises that match the moment. I work comfortably across multiple genres, including Musical Theater, Spoken Word, and Performance Poetry. This allows students to stretch their artistry and adapt their voice to different creative spaces. Lessons are structured yet flexible, always leaving space for exploration and growth. Every performer has a voice that deserves to be heard. With guidance, patience, and energy, I help students unlock their performance voice and step into the spotlight with confidence. My teaching approach to singing is focused on building confidence, skill, and creative expression. I believe every voice has unique potential, and my goal is to bring that out with care and clarity. Lessons are structured but always flexible, designed to fit the needs and goals of each learner.
I place strong emphasis on vocal technique to ensure healthy singing and long-term growth. Alongside this, I guide students in harmony singing, helping them blend their voice with others while keeping their individuality. Microphone technique is another important area, as I want students to feel comfortable and professional whether on stage or in the studio.
Creativity is central to my teaching. I use vocal improvisation exercises to encourage freedom, risk-taking, and personal style. For students interested in modern genres, I include pop and R\&B stylisation to shape phrasing, tone, and vocal texture. These skills make the voice versatile and expressive.
I work well with learners who need patient support as they begin their vocal journey, and I also thrive in guiding motivated singers who want to refine their artistry. My lessons balance structure with encouragement, making sure progress feels steady and achievable.
Each session is a chance to explore, grow, and enjoy singing. With guidance, practice, and creativity, I help students find both confidence and joy in their voice.
