About Madeleine

I am a recent master's graduate with a degree in English Linguistics, located in Brussels, Belgium. I have extensive experience with multilingualism and multiculturalism, and take this into account when teaching. I have been a poet for over a decade and a songwriter for even longer. In 2023, I released my own songs and began the journey of writing for and alongside other artists in Belgium and beyond. I have multiple years of English education experience, ranging from ages 0 to 80+. My approach is about the individual, as everyone's interests are different. I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

My primary goal is to grow your skillset by adding more tools to the metaphorical tool kit. Whether this is through prompt writing, time challenges, and more, is up to you! My own experience is in guitar, but songwriting can be applied to any musical medium.

My lessons are for any and all ages who want to write songs in English using multiple instruments. I specialize in poetic lyrics, including a focus on wordplay and homophony in English. I also prioritize emotion in lyrics, dynamics, and vocal performance, intent to grow your sense of both feeling and intent in a song.

I look forward to meeting you, and cannot wait for our first lesson together.
