About Lyra
Hi! In my experience within the games industry, I've spent many years both honing my software development skills and teaching younger developers both simple and advanced topics. While earning my degree in Computer Science at UC Davis, I taught astronomy labs for four years. There, I learned how to guide students through difficult and complex subject. I love the excitement that people get when they understand something that was once a mystery to them. I'm ready to help with whatever programming and software development related topics you want to learn!
Through my work experience and college education, I've become well versed in a variety of programming languages and frameworks. The subjects I am most familiar with include C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, Unity, GameMaker, Object Oriented Programming, and Software Architecture. I have both a strong understanding of computer fundamentals as well as a practiced knowledge in real-world programming applications.

Gave me lessons when I was struggling through a bootcamp! She was always very kind and tried working with me to find where I was stuck conceptually and in my code and helped flesh out my understanding of the tech we were learning. Her approach was tailored to my needs and ways of learning and was very in-depth when needed, and when a lesson called for more direct problem solving she was happy to help me figure out how to fix my ten million errors, lol. Would not have passed without her help, definitely recommend!!
