As a senior biochemistry major at MTSU preparing for medical school, I have a strong academic background in chemistry, biology, and biochemistry. I approach tutoring with patience, professionalism, and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment. My goal is not just to help students pass their courses but to ensure they truly understand the material and build confidence in their abilities. I always start by assessing the students' needs by first understanding their weaknesses, strengths, and learning style. I help guide students to the answer through thoughtful questioning and help explain concepts back to them in their own words to reinforce understanding. I can break down difficult, complex concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces. I can adapt and work with students who have many different learning styles. I love to use diagrams, videos, encourage discussion, models, physical demonstrations, and will provide summary notes and explanations. I also think it is very important to provide a positive learning environment for my students and will adjust to your pace and always celebrate progress, no matter how small!
