Hello! I’m a passionate and dedicated secondary school science teacher with over 5 years of experience, currently serving as Deputy Head of Science. I hold a degree in Zoology and have a strong passion for conservation and the environment. I’m passionate about science because it explains how the world works and connects to everything around us. I truly believe that every student can succeed in science with the right support and guidance. My goal as a tutor is not only to help you understand the subject but also to inspire confidence and a love for learning. As a qualified secondary school science teacher and Deputy Head of Science with over 5 years of experience, I bring classroom expertise into one-to-one tutoring. I teach all GCSE Sciences with a specialism in Biology, focusing primarily on the AQA exam board. My approach is calm, supportive, and student-centred. I aim to build both subject knowledge and self-confidence by creating a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I tailor each lesson to the student's individual needs, using clear explanations, visual aids, exam-style questions, and proven revision techniques to strengthen understanding and exam skills. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and suitable for students aged 11–16 (Key Stage 3 to GCSE). Whether your child is just starting secondary school or preparing for final exams, I help them gain confidence, improve performance, and enjoy science along the way.

My son gained such confidence from Abi’s sessions and looked forward to them every week!
