About Paul
I’m a qualified secondary school English teacher with over 17 years’ experience teaching students at Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate, at both Higher and Ordinary Level. I’m passionate about English, but just as importantly, I enjoy helping students gain confidence in a subject they may find difficult or frustrating. Private tutoring gives me the opportunity to work more closely with individual students and small groups, to understand exactly where you need support and help you make real progress!

My approach to tutoring is friendly, supportive and tailored to each student. I focus on identifying individual strengths and the areas where they can make the biggest improvement. Lessons are practical and encouraging, with clear explanations, useful feedback and a strong focus on building confidence, improving written work and developing effective exam technique. Lessons can be delivered face-to-face or online, whichever is more convenient and comfortable for the student.

Details
Individual tuition starts at €35 per hour for Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert Ordinary Level, with Higher Level at €40 per hour. Discounts are available for block bookings, with approximately 5% off five lessons and 10% off ten. Small-group tuition is also available for 2–4 students, with reduced per-student rates starting from €18 per hour. Group and block-booking discounts cannot be combined.
