About Kaia
I am currently a student at UCSB on a pre-law track. In high school, I had a 4.28 GPA and I received all 4s and 5s on my AP tests. I had an SAT score of 1500 (780 in English and 720 in math). I have experience tutoring English, math, and history, and have helped my student peers study biology throughout high school and college.

I grew up in LA, and was selected to be one of six student tutors at my high school. I helped my peers write essays, guiding them to success in their classes. Outside of this, I tutored privately in English, math, and history and have a passion for writing. I’ve actually been published and have won multiple awards for my poetry! I also love biology, and have helped other students in my biology classes in high school and college. I can tutor English, history, and biology for students from elementary school through high school. Through determining a student’s specific learning style and weaknesses, I can help break down topics into simple terms without sacrificing important details. I like to measure student progress by asking them to recap tutoring sessions in their own terms, which makes students stay engaged and allows me to see how much they understand. If they have access to old tests, I would also go through any missed or confusing questions and clarify the underlying concepts. I’d also be happy to share my old Quizlets with them and test them through that! Further, I’d love to help teach them general studying tactics. Thank you for your time, and I hope to help your student do their best in their classes!
