About Diogo
My name is Diogo Vilas and I am a second-year student at McMaster University!
I am a Portuguese-Canadian, having come to Canada in 2015 from Portugal, and am fluent in both English and Portuguese.
I am currently studying English and History, and will be pursuing a career in Education after completing my degree!
I have a 3.8 GPA and have been involved in the education and childcare industry for a few years, but I hope to become a teacher sometime in the near future!

I believe in active learning, which sees students discover and grow their skills through practice. By providing students with examples and demonstrations, I will encourage them to attempt exercises on their own whilst assisting them in reaching their goals.
My typical lesson plan will feature a period of conversation, wherein a student may share what their goals and objectives are as well as any area of difficulty, followed by a demonstration. Upon being shown how to accomplish their goals, I will facilitate a period of practice and self-improvement which will be led by the student with my assistance.
My English and Portuguese lessons are designed to suit any level of proficiency, from beginner to advanced. Any accommodations can and will be made to better suit a students' need.
