About Irene
Clarity emerges when you master the mechanics of the fingerboard. You deserve a path that demystifies complex bowing patterns. My training at The Glenn Gould School allows me to break down intonation problems into simple, actionable steps. I assign weekly practice modules with every single class to anchor your progress.
These assignments act as your map through the difficult terrain of classical technique. Consistent work outside our scheduled time will bridge the gap between amateur playing and professional fluidity. Your technical development serves as the foundation for your artistic expression. Precision defines my teaching character. I possess 13 years of classical and folk performing experience.
After 13 years of performing across Canada, my Bachelor of Music from The Glenn Gould School informs every interaction. I am an Ontario-youth-music-program insider.
Self-taught players and performance-focused students often struggle with the same technical barriers. I guide you through music theory and scales and arpeggios with a keen ear.
Left hand agility requires constant monitoring, while intonation remains a daily pursuit. I emphasize spiccato and staccato bowing to refine your articulation. Sight reading becomes second nature under my observation. I am here to ensure you reach your specific musical target.
