About Kartina
I am Dr. Kartina Johan, a seasoned engineer and academician with 30 years of professional experience, 15 years in engineering practice and 15 years in academia. Throughout my career, public speaking has been part of my daily professional life through lectures, meetings, technical presentations, research sharing, student coaching, academic discussions, and industry engagement
I want to teach because I believe speaking well is not only about presentation. It is also about helping a person think clearly, speak up with confidence, and carry themselves better in life. Many students and young adults have good ideas, but they struggle because of fear, low self-esteem, stage fright, or past experiences of being judged or bullied
My coaching style is calm, practical, structured, and grounded in real professional experience. I do not teach hype style public speaking. I guide learners with care, patience, and honesty so they can speak in Malay and English with clarity, confidence, adab, and professional presence

My lessons are practical, calm, and tailored to each learner. I do not teach hype style public speaking. I guide learners to speak clearly, organize ideas, manage stage fright, use proper voice control, and present confidently in Malay and English.
Each lesson normally runs for 60 minutes. The session may include speaking practice, presentation structure, voice training, confidence building, feedback, and simple techniques to improve delivery. For learners preparing for class presentations, interviews, viva, meetings, pidato, or workplace briefings, I will customize the lesson based on their actual needs.
I am Dr. Kartina Johan, a seasoned engineer and academician with 30 years of professional experience. Public speaking has been part of my daily career through lectures, meetings, technical presentations, research sharing, student coaching, academic discussions, and industry engagement. I also trained in Pidato Nusantara with a pidato guru.
My coaching is suitable for students, graduates, young professionals, junior lecturers, engineers, and working adults. I also help learners who struggle with low confidence, fear of judgment, stage fright, or difficulty speaking up. For Malay Muslim learners who are comfortable with it, I may include a gentle spiritual touch through good niat, doa, adab, and inner calm.

Details
My rate is RM60 per hour for personalized coaching. Online lesson is my main mode because it is suitable for presentation practice, speaking confidence, slide review, voice control, and direct feedback
The first free lesson is mainly for introduction, understanding the learner’s needs, identifying confidence or presentation issues, and suggesting a suitable coaching plan. It is not a full formal lesson
For home-based coaching around Kuantan, I can travel within a 20 km range. Travel arrangement depends on distance, time, and suitability. A reasonable travel fee may apply for physical lessons due to fuel and travel time
The 5-hour and 10-hour packs are suitable for learners who want steady improvement, such as preparing for class presentations, interviews, viva sessions, pidato, meetings, or workplace presentations
