My tutoring approach is rooted in the belief that language can be mastered by adhering to its set of rules, and eventually using it as a tool for identity and empowerment. Moving beyond rote memorization, there is the need for exposure to the grammar and phonetics of the target language, with the ultimate goal of ensuring students speak with both precision and confidence. By integrating English Literature and critical analysis, I will help students see the beauty of creativity in the use of language in conveying human experience, past and present alike, which literature offers. With such an experience, students will be better positioned to refine texts through proofreading, which is part of my goal towards providing a supportive and student-centered environment. Acquiring all this knowledge will, undoubtedly, aid students’ integration into society and participation in community life.
