About Brian
I'm an incoming UCD Graduate Entry Medicine student who achieved 87 in GAMSAT Section 2 (top 1%) and 70 overall (top 5%). I also graduated with First-Class Honors, receiving awards for academic excellence, best student in my program and best research project.
Medicine was not a straightforward path for me. I did not get in at 18 and, for years, came close to giving up on the ambition entirely. When I eventually decided to sit the GAMSAT, I treated it as the ultimate obstacle between me and the career I had always wanted. Preparing for it taught me the value of persistence, structure and developing strategies that work under pressure.
Before medicine, I served two consecutive terms as President of TU Dublin Students' Union, representing approximately 30,000 students, and I now work in the Higher Education Authority. Both roles have centered on leadership, clear communication and helping others navigate complex challenges.
I want to teach because many capable candidates need individual support but cannot afford preparation courses costing thousands of euro. My aim is to offer practical, supportive and affordable tuition that helps students trust their own ideas, improve their writing and approach Section 2 with genuine confidence.

I do not teach rigid templates or memorized essays. Instead, I give students a flexible, repeatable method for:
interpreting unfamiliar themes;
generating strong ideas quickly;
developing a clear, nuanced argument;
planning efficiently;
improving structure, expression and flow;
adapting confidently between Tasks A and B.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are tailored to the individual. Sessions may include timed idea-generation drills, live essay planning, discussion of arguments and detailed feedback on the student's writing.
Alongside my GAMSAT result, I bring substantial leadership and communication experience. I served for two consecutive years as President of TU Dublin Students' Union and now work in the Higher Education Authority, where I regularly analyze complex information and produce clear, persuasive professional writing.
My lessons are suitable for GAMSAT candidates at any level—from those unsure how to begin Section 2 to stronger writers aiming to maximize their score. My goal is to make the process clear, manageable and personalized, while building the confidence to respond effectively to whatever appears on exam day.
