I am against memorization. It's annoying and doesn't stick for very long. Instead of telling students to memorize, I help students understand the underlying concepts, allowing them to make connections between different parts of the subject. Not only is studying more enjoyable, the information also stays with you for longer and students are confident when they walk into their exam.
