About Mary Kate
I am a third year Graduate student who has one year of academic tutoring experience as well as experience working as an assistant teacher for CASE Collaborative. As an example, I worked with one college student who needed to finish one required course for graduation and was successful in helping the student attain a grade she was proud of as well as a diploma to help further her career.

I first try to identify what the student currently understands and what his or her learning strengths are. I use positive encouragement to empower the students as well as enthusiasm to get them invested in otherwise monotomous material. I also like to break down the material and ensure that the student really understands the material in depth.
