About Troy
Personally I have always had a keen interest in Mathematics, and would undertake any opportunity I could related to the field. I won a scholarship to study Mathematics at Cambridge in the Summer of 2022, I learnt to code to enter the Southampton cryptography challenge and I learnt all of Decision Mathematics A-level in a week. I am a believer of the growth mindset, and I wish to share my wisdom from all my experiences on to anyone in my tutorials, as well as help with any queries you bring to the sessions.

As a straight A* student and having took GCSE mathematics in Year 8 and both Maths and Further Maths A-levels early in Year 12, I have a very strong comprehension of the foundations of all the content, and prefer to teach how to understand the subject rather than how to memorise it. Everyone has a different natural ability in Mathematics, and having tutored from Foundation GCSE level I am confident I can adhere to anyone’s needs.
In my tutorials we will set a personal aim for you as an individual, whatever that may be. Perhaps you want to consolidate your GCSE knowledge and bridge the gap going into A-level, go into the depths of a specific topic you are struggling with in class or helping you prepare and feel more comfortable going into the exam season.
