About Samanvi
Hi! I'm Samanvi, a freshman (soon to be sophomore) in High School. I'm bilingual (English and Telugu and am willing to teach in my mother tongue Telugu to a student if needed) and am learning my 3rd language (Spanish), and might start my 4th and 5th ones soon! I've competed in DECA, MUN, FBLA, SciOly, I am on the Varsity Tennis Team (going to play 3rd position next year), am in the tennis club, I have 60-80 volunteer hours, am in YayDay Club (Volunteering), Photography Club, Forensics Club, HOSA, and I've played the piano and clarinet since little, and might start three more instruments soon! Hence I can always advise students about courses in high school too. I've always loved doing math because I find it the easiest subject since it has a definite answer (for most problems), and love the clarity of finding it. My dad (my inspiration) was the one who first always pushed me and sat by me for math. This pushed me to learn more and now I grasp concepts very well. I already completed Honors Math 1 in 8th grade with an A, and this year I'm 15 and completed both Honors Math 2 with an A+, and Honors Math 3 with an A+. As I am a current student in high school, I am very familiar with the modern methods for teaching! Therefore, I can help your child quickly grasp concepts with a deep understanding on the how and the why of the topic. The 'how' shows how the problem is solved and the solution is determined, however, the 'why' explains why the problem is solved like that, why we use that formula, and why the answer is that, the 'why' also explains the logic behind formulas, ensuring a much deeper and more lasting understanding of the subject!

I will be able to provide online math tutoring, each designed for a certain grade level, unless your child is already ahead. Along with tackling the first three honors math courses for high school, math 1-3, which build up the base for AP Pre-Calc and AP Calc. Our lesson plan would go over me asking the student of any school topics in math they need help on and will go over that. After, I would review the previous class's topics covered and go over the homework, along with helping with any doubts. If I feel like the student grasped the concept well, we will move on to a new topic without going into too much extra unnecessary detail about the previous topic (this all would be for 20-30 minutes). When we move onto a new topic, we will go into thorough detail to completely help the student grasp the concept and as well as focusing on the basics and building it up into complexity in the topic (15-20 minutes, depends on student). I will do example problems for the student and then help them do one or two with me. Then, I will help them do the problems themself, unless the student requires/asks for more example problems. After this, nearing the last 15-20 minutes of class, I will assign homework. However this is also all dependent on the amount of class time, like if it's 45 minutes, everything would be a little shorter, if it's 1 hour 30 minutes, we will be able to cover more content on the topic and I will be able to help the student better grasp the concept. I offer 45, 60, and 90 minute lessons, and after first starting off with these times, if necessary for test and quiz prep, extra time can be added on for an extra price (up to 75 minutes can be added on for the 45 minute lesson, up to 60 minutes can be added on to the 60 minute lesson, and up to 30 minutes can be added on to the 90 minute lesson), will be discussed.
