About Sam
I'm a full-time musician, guitar and songwriting teacher. I'm also a singer and guitarist in a Rock band. Music became my passion from a young age and I play and teach music full time. I have extensive experience teaching at schools and private, I currently teach at 2 primary schools. I’m a skilled, reliable, patient, friendly and encouraging tutor with passion for music and teaching that is dedicated to achieving results with my students. I've studied the guitar and music for 20 years and have a Bachelors Degree in Music Technology and a Professional Diploma in Guitar and Popular Music. I am fully DBS checked, fully insured and have up to date Child and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding certificates.

If you want to learn how to play guitar I can teach you. All abilities and ages are welcome! If you have goals you want to achieve, skills you want to learn, or are just starting out, I can help you with lessons specific to your aims and ability and use strategies to help you achieve your goals and progress with a little work and guidance, whilst also enjoying learning to play the guitar. I can teach on most online platforms and can have a chat with you beforehand to discuss the lessons. I charge 25 an hour, I can also offer lesson packs. I teach from either a professional rehearsal/recording studio or my home studio in the same commercial property near Finsbury Park I give lessons on: . chords, scales and arpeggios and how and when to use them . rhythm and lead playing . skills to improvise/jam over tracks . learning songs both of your choice and suggested . songwriting techniques, music theory, advice and assistance with material Overall this is designed to improve your technique, ability, knowledge, listening skills and make you a better guitar player and have fun whilst doing so! I was Sam's student for a year and a half and he definitely surpassed my expectations as a tutor. Sam understood from the beginning the kind of student I was and what my needs to make the most of the lessons were.
