About Mia
My name is Mia, and I am a dedicated student at Rustenburg Girls’ High with straight As in Afrikaans. Afrikaans is my first language, and I am also strong in English, which allows me to teach confidently in both languages.
I am responsible, well-prepared, and serious about helping students succeed. Having completed the Grade 10 syllabus with good results, I understand what teachers expect and how to help learners meet those standards. I explain work in a clear, structured way and always ensure that a learner fully understands before we move on.
My tutoring is supportive and organized. I can create focused worksheets, summaries, and practice activities to strengthen weaker areas and prepare for tests. My goal is not only to improve marks, but to build confidence and independent learning skills.
I work best with primary school learners and early high school students who want extra support in Afrikaans. If you are willing to put in the effort, I will be fully committed to helping you achieve your best.

I tutor in a way that's patient and supportive. I help build confidence. I’m a student at Rustenburg Girls’ High School and I’ve always gotten straight As in Afrikaans. So I know what my teachers wanted from me. I can explain things in a clear and simple way.
When something is hard to understand I break it down into steps. I make sure they understand each step doesn’t matter how long it may take before we move on.
I speak Afrikaans and English fluently as Afrikaans is my language but I use English in my everyday life. I can tutor in either language. This means I can explain things in the language understood best.
In a tutoring session, we go over what was taught in class. We do homework together. We practice with examples. We focus on the things that they are having trouble with and really nail it down.
I can make worksheets and summaries to help with specific topics. I can also make some practice tests that have proven to work well for test preparation and custom notes.
My tutoring is for children in primary school and the first few years of high school. I teach students up to Grade 9 level. I help improve their language skills or writing skills in Afrikaans. I want learners to feel more confident when they speak or write in these languages.
