About Promit
I am an Oxford-graduate in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) with nearly 20 years of experience helping students grow. From winning the Royal Economic Society’s Young Economist of the Year award to advising governments on policy, my career has been shaped by a passion for education and its power to change lives. I love teaching because it allows me to share knowledge in a way that builds confidence and opens doors for others. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student achieve their goals—whether that means mastering an Economics theme, passing the 11+ exams, or gaining an offer from Oxbridge or another top university.

With nearly 20 years of teaching and mentoring experience, I bring a breadth of expertise as an Oxford-graduate in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), examiner, teacher, and policy adviser. My journey has included winning the Royal Economic Society’s Young Economist of the Year award, advising on UK and international policy, and supporting students of all ages in their learning. My tutoring approach is highly personalised and rooted in evidence-based teaching methods. I begin by identifying each student’s current strengths and areas for improvement, then adapt lessons to meet their needs—whether that’s mastering economic concepts, improving exam technique, or preparing for university admissions. I place strong emphasis on critical thinking, clarity of explanation, and practical problem-solving, ensuring students can apply what they learn with confidence. A typical lesson lasts 1–2 hours, depending on the student’s goals and availability. I provide structured lesson plans, but also remain flexible so we can focus on areas where the student needs the most support. Alongside Economics tuition (GCSE, A-level, IB, undergraduate, postgraduate), I specialise in admissions preparation, including tailored guidance for personal statements, essay competitions and SAT-prep. I have helped students succeed at 11+ entry level as well as guiding applicants through competitive university processes. My recent students have gone on to gain offers from Oxbridge, LSE, UCL, and other top universities. My lessons are suitable for: GCSE/ A-level / IB / undergraduate students seeking Economics tutoring University applicants preparing personal statements, admissions tests, or Oxbridge interviews Younger students preparing for the 11+ and selective school entry Adult learners interested in Economics, policy, or international development Above all, my aim is to make learning engaging, supportive, and transformative—helping each student reach their full potential.
